Been in touch with Bias Boating and Whitworths both dont know any one who repairs windturbines will try Greybeards idea and see what happens

Ken,
Rather than try suppliers, who'd prefer to sell you a new turbine anyway, why not try electrical contractors, especially those who may do electric motor rewinding?
It may something really simple(to an electrician) and could end up cheaper, and more reliable in long term.

Phoned a couple of auto sparkies this morning one didnt know what I was on about and the other one wasnt really interested. So will try an electrical rewinder/

As another suggestion, try Maritime Electronic
Services, they are at 3/28 Mews Rd in the
Fremantle Fishing
Boat Harbour 9335 2716 or 9335 4338, they have been doing the job for a long time which covers ships, fishing boats, yachts & power boats etc.
If they don't, they will know who does.

I managed to find a rewinder about five minutes from Mandurah.
He is going to have look at for me and will let me know on Monday or Tuesday.
