Hi all,
This is my first post on here and probably the first of a series of Stoopid beginner questions. .....
I have a 2011 17.56.2 jayco expanda outback which I plan to travel around oz in.
Currently we are residing at a local caravan
park on the
Gold Coast whilst we try and get our heads around how everything works.
Last night I tried to boil some
water on the smev electric hot plate (I have the full oven, grill, 3 gas burners and 1 electric) however when I turn the dial to turn on the hot plate, nothing happened? The light that indicates the hot plate is on failed to illuminate and it was as if there was no power getting to it? I wonder is thre a switch to turn power to oven on or something or any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong? I doubt I have a dodgy oven being just 12 months old however......
Thanks in advance.

It will plug into a power point either in a cupboard beside the stove or underneath somewhere within about 1 meter of the stove do a search

Had the same problem. tried to make sure power was plugged in but still didn't work. Jayco dealer fixed by plugging in the power. Check by takeing the draw out under the stove and follow the power lead to the connection point.

Gqturbo! Thanks for your reply. It did indeed need plugging in and turning on. The switch was located in the cupboard below the oven (hidden by the junk already packed away in there. Thanks for your help, it was doing my head in :-)
