No not much at all, a drive to the top of a
hill for phone reception is about all.

Stanage is a lovely spot. If you drive to the top of the
hill on the southern end of the township that is a pretty good 4wd climb. There is plenty of firewood on the way into town. There is rough
water for showers and washing clothes in the small dam. Take your
drinking water. I presume you will be staying in Endeavour
Park, make a donation to the township improvement fund at the store. Take extreme care of the tide race especially if there is wind against tide and you are in a tinnie - it can get very dangerous out between the islands and the mainland. You may want to call the
shop to check the road conditions as it can get pretty rough between gradings. Enjoy it its a beaut spot.
