Maralinga

England needed large uninhabited tracts of land well away from the prying eyes of Russia and where else but Australia could fulfil these requirements.

Are there camping/caravan facilities available eg toilets and/or showers? Also I heard there is fuel available at Maralinga, is this correct?

Hi Rod

If you have had a look at my new Trek notes, it is great to see that you are showing an interest in visiting this very great location.

Yes Robin has toilets and showers and my only advise is to stay longer than what you plan for, there is such a lot to see.

Robin has diesel on site for sale, but if you are petrol, contact Robin well in advance so he can supplies for you.

We enjoyed it that much, we are going back again next year.

Thanks Stephen, from your blog I thought there probably were some facilities. I was looking at the trek notes you prepared but didn't see any info on facilities. Might I suggest that this be included.

On again looking at the trek note for 'Maralinga via Nullarbor Roadhouse' I see there is mention of camping facilities at Maralinga, but not in the other trek notes.
