does anybody know if there is a seal kit available for the tub on my twin cab hilux.
not expecting to keep it 100% dust or water proof but anything is better than nothing.
Last trip I used a couple of damp towels rolled up to keep the majority of the dust out to some success.

hi garry r i went to clark rubber and bought some rubber to suit my mazda and cut and glued it in place that was 12 years ago and its still doing a good jobsome of the profile come as self adhesive type which makes the job a lot easier
just a note
not all clark rubber stores keep the same range as its upto the individual owners what they keep in stock
i went to different stores in the wa area before i found what i needed

thanks mazcan.
I actually brought several profiles after asking for some sample pieces. I glued them on only to find the density was to high and couldn't shut the tail gate - only 2days before I left for my trip.
Now I'm back and have time to source other moulds from other stores but will also investigate the possibility of the kit from clark rubber.
Will keep those interested with the results I come up with.

cheers thanks for the advice

Garry, I used a single sided neoprene tape tape about 25mm x 8-10mm from memory on the tailgate of my Navara. It was one of the many at Clarke Rubber There are a couple of bump stops that needed to be removed but once the tape was in place, these were superfluous anyway. Did a great job.

Cheers Mick

I have seen air pressure hatches [ as used on caravans ] fitted to the top of canopys on utes.

If you had a positive air pressure it would stop a lot of dust ingress.

hi phillipn - yes i've installed one forward on the canopy roof under the roof top tent. Yes it works alright to pressurise the tub and keep most dirt out but when caught in a dust storm or following someone (even from a distance ) I needed to close it orguess what happens.
Yep I learned that from experience last trip being a novice.
