Hi, I am doing a trip up to Cameron's corner and planning a couple of days based at
olive downs camp ground, it says that the only
water available is untreated
bore water. is it suitable for caravan tanks if pump up and put through a good quality in-line filter? and I would welcome any information and must see on the area. Thanks

Hi Julio,
It probably is however, considering the location of this campground, in a very arid area of the country, may I suggest that you consider how valuable
water is for all campers and only take what you really need. Maybe fill containers or a bucket and use those for non drinking purposes. This is what we did when we stayed there during June overnight. I think there was a
sign saying it was not suitable for drinking however I may be wrong about that.
A call or email to NSW National Parks or a visit to the Parks Office in
Tibooburra if you are coming from the south might be helpful in answering your question.
regards,
Heather

Julio,
We topped up one of our van tanks at the
Dead Horse Gully campground just outside
Tibooburra. We were suprised how clean the
water looked in the white bucket before we transferred to the van
tank.
