A friend is contemplating buying a folding solar panel kit for use on his caravan battery when
camping. Generally I look for high quality equipment in these instances, but my friend will not use it often and does not have a great need for heaps of 12 volt power.
I had a search on ebay and came up with this:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12V-Mono-Solar-Panel-Home-Energy-Power-Generator-Battery-Charging-Camping-100W-/350658339249?pt=AU_Solar&hash=item51a4dda1b1
Has anyone had/heard of any experiences with this product/seller, as the price is very good, but perhaps it is cheap AND NASTY, even though he has a 100% rating and is a Top-Rated seller.
Any thoughts on this seller/product or other preferred seller appreciated.

Item no longer available and was not a folding panel.
I believe that seller has a good reputation - do a search on this site.

Early this year I purchased an 80W folding panel from flea bay. I did replace the connections and fitted a longer lead and a andersen plug. Cost of Panel was $160.00, connections longer lead and anderesen plug $40.00. All up cost $200 - works perfectly. I have very small power needs, (lights only). Was in a leading
camping accessory store and noticed almost the same outfit for $650.00, given it was a little more robust and a better bag but not $450.00 worth

G'Day Brian,
Solar is an interesting product. Some Ebay sellers have an excellent reputation and excellent product you just have to find them and make sure you can find them again if there is a problem.
We stock two proven brands, Camec and Coast to Coast. Both brands offer a good warranty and there is always someone at the end of our free-call phone number (1300 259 499) to answer your enquires.
