I would just like to put this quick post up to show the power of this
Forum and the type of like minded people that watch it on a regular basis.
A couple of weeks again, I put a new post up regarding the Historical Burke and Wills events that are taking place this weekend. Along the way I notice a couple that I had not seen before and were at a couple of the stops along the way.
A couple of people from
Clare that I know said the strangers had seen details on the internet and came all this way from
Melbourne just to take part in the events. I went up to the couple at the
Clare Racecourse, introduced myself and asked where they had seen the details. The gentleman then said his wife had seen it on the Exploroz
Forum.
So here they are, Elizabeth and Helmut Mueller, all the way from
Melbourne just for the event.

That is certainly no box brownie Helmut has.

Yes and as one of the locals said and I quote...."that is some kick ass lens"
Those that have noticed photo credit should recognize his name, as a free lance photographer. It shows just how dedicated he is coming all this way just for some very special photos.

Also Elizabeth is the just past editor of ON THE ROAD magazine. She and Helmut are just exporing OZ since she handed the mag. onto someone else.

elizabeth and helmut mueller have been editors and photograhers etc etc for several 4wd/ 4x4/ overlander / type magazines for many many years their names have popped up in the editorial admin listings inside the covers of so many popular mags equal to or as long as Ron moons name some mags that i cant even think of the names of that were taken over or deleted from print it would be almost impossible to count
earlier this year i recycled my collection going back to 1983
in total i added up the cover prices of to $7000.00 worth of magazines a full 6x4 trailer full plus half the rear of my mazda
well body in addition that i had collected (
well over half a tonne of mags ) i had saved one has to quit some stuff along the way comes down to decisions / unfortunately

When Elizabeth and Helmut introduced themselves, Helmut's name did start ringing bells in my brain, but I was not quite sure.
Over the 2 days, I spent a good number of hours with them and they were a fantastic, down to earth couple and we both shared so many common interests.
I hope to meet them again and if you ever get the chance to meet them, do go up and say G'day.
