Just had to share my excitement with people who would get it. Recently sold my house after moving in with my partner and his son. We have 4 boys 7-11 between us. House settles Monday, pick up my 2006 Kia grand carnival on Tuesday. Need to get an electric brake controller fitted then it seems I've found a 2002 jayco flamingo just have to check it out in person but from photos appears in excellent condition. House sold for a lot less than first thought so wasn't sure we'd get there for a bit but looking good now! This is a childhood dream for me

Hi Jude & the boys, sounds like a whole new exciting and happy chapter in your life is just beginning. Good luck with it all and happy and safe travelling. I reckon you are all in for a boisterous Christmas morning with four boys in that age bracket!! Cheers & best wishes.

Picking up the camper on Wednesday - its a 1.5-2hr drive to get there and kids are still in school so decided not to try to pick up camper and car in the same day. That will also give me a day to visit bcf or arb or supercheap??? for some towing mirrors and make sure they fit the car ok. Partner seems to think we need anti sway bars which may or may not actually be load levelling somethings? too so looking into that. The dealer has agreed to fit the electric brake controller before we pick it up so the car will be ready to go.
As for Xmas morning - sadly one will be with his mum so we'll be down to 3 til around 10-11am but my parents are down for a visit (they will
park their van in the front yard) too. Am sure Dad will give the whole rig a good once over in the week he is with us - I'm looking forward to meeting them on the road in the future!
