Review: Mailman of the Birdsville Track

I loved this book i couldn't put it down. My father whose name was Tom also had a general carrying business back in the 1950's.
It just took me back to those times when nothing was impossible.Today if there is a break down its call the RACQ but back then it was fix it the best way you could and get the job done. Tom's wife was a marvelous person as most wives in those days did the rearing of the children while the man worked.Thank you for paying tribute to such a lovely man and his family. I was ever so pleased he got to drive the badger one last time. We will definitely call and see it next year on our way around Aussie. Cheers Margaret Thomas
