We bought the d-max new in Feb 2011, and have used it for 4wding it has done quite a few river crossings but only 2 were level with the bonnet.
Now the problem... yesterday my wife said " come here you have a problem" and she moved the rear left door back and
forth quickly the sound of sloshing
water was evident. It has a rubber plug / flap at the bottom and when I removed it the drain hole was blocked by plastic and silt. Cleaned it out and the
water poured out Would pay to check your doors as one other of
mine was blocked. Can only assume the plastic was from manfacture.
Cheers warren

hi
guess you have to expect that when you use your vehicle like a submarine
i dont really think it is any fault of d/max
it can happen to any brand if you submerse them

I had a second hand 2006 rodeo before my GU and we never did a
river crossing in it. It used to get some
water in the doors when it rained and was parked facing down the
hill, due to the drains being on the back side of the doors. This was caused by the seals around the electric windows leaking. Holden dealer who I bought it off replaced all the seals under warranty. But goes to show that it can come in through some strange
places.
