I want to go from Barry's Way to Native Dog Flat via the Ingeegoodbee/ Cobberas track. This is in the Victorian High Country/ Snowy River area.
Last time I was there, a couple of years ago, the track was very ordinary with a steep rocky climb about half way through.

Has anybody been through that way in the past few months that can give advice on the track conditions.
I have tried the park rangers for that area but so far they have not been able to give a first hand account.

I went through there about 6 months back and the section you refer to is still there.
I drove through ok with lockers but heard a number of people on the radio the previous day having difficulties and winching through.

We have been through there several times in recent years. No lockers, a 100 serties 4.2td, auto with a 2" suspension lift. You do not need lockers. Just as long as you know what you are doing. No need to rush, just have a look first, plan your route and let the car climb up. But I wouldn't recommend it if you are in a standard "smaller" 4WD. Not belittling the "smaller" cars just using the word as a guide for you. One of our members on that trip was in a little suzy. But he is one excellent driver and the car is not standard.

Please do not attempt to tow anything over the rocky bit. We sat down the bottom for an over an hour on one trip waiting for a group with trailers to get over it. Clowns. Did heaps of damage to the track as well as their cars and trailers.

As long as you have a good car and know what you are doing it will be fine.

Is this the track from Jackson's Crossing?? If so we did this several years ago (not really helpful I realise) and it had a steep scrabbly section that was OK in the 76 series, but the diff lockers did make it easy. Saw a group with trailers & at the time thought they were very game taking them on that track (though we never really drove trailers so couldn't really comment)
As Phil said above, not sure I'd be happy doing it in a smaller 4wd without high clearance or a decent low.
I'm thinking about heading that way myself after Christmas - as long as I can avoid snowy mtns hwy (?) that road scares me.

The Ingeegoodbe Track turns west off the Snowy Highway not far south of the NSW border and north of Suggun Buggun. I am not familiar with Jackons Crossing but I think that Jackson's Crossing is way south of the turnoff.
