Has anyone out there added video to their blog??

If possible, can you give us the "how to" guide (for Dummies version)

Also, is there a way that you can position photos directly to the place you want the to be? I find that they always download at the front of the blog and I have to move them later. Not a problem for single photos but when placing a few in it can be a bit frustrating

Regards,
Lyn

Hi Lyn. I am looking at how to post a blog myself. I just opened the blog page and up near the "new blog" button is a FAQ button with the video info at the top of the list. There may be help for you in there. Bob.

Firstly you need to have your videos uploaded and hosted by a facility such as Youtube or Vimeo. Once you have set up an account and posted your video there, then it's as simple as using the "Add Video" button on the blog creation page and entering the identifyer code for your video.

I use both but prefer Vimeo. You can join free and you have a 500meg upload limit per week. As a paying memeber of "Vimeo Plus" you may upload 5 gig per week. You should be able to upload video clips direct from your computer to either platform UNLESS you have a Sony video camera. You will have to convert Sony clips to a HD Mpeg format before uploading them (Sony always make things difficult with their proprietpory software and codecs).

Hope that helps. Feel free to MM me if you want more advice. Mick

As for the photos, no it's not possible at this point. They always load to the front. Perhaps it's something we could raise with David as an enhancement for the system.
