There is not a better place to say a very big 'THANK YOU' to David, Michelle and Adele.
If it was not for this best sight, we as members could not share our experiences.
Thanks Again and lets hope 2013 is ever better with many more great stories,
Blogs and debates.
Cheers
Stephen

I'm with you Stephen, its a great site. Having just renewed my
membership I find it great value for money. It's also contributers like yourself and Fred's History lesson, among others, that make this site worth looking up.
Cheers to All
Graham

Agree with everything you and Stephen say Graham.
BTW the History lesson is from the old Guru, Doug T, up there in tropical
Adelaide River.

Hi Graham and Fred
Thanks for those great words. I hope Michelle reads this, as she will know what I mean.
It is not just me, it is a joint team affair, with so many great member that are a wealth of knowledge, and I would not be game to mention the many contributors, as knowing me I would miss someone out and I do not wish to offend anyone.
All the Best for 2013
Cheers

Have a great new year.

Good on you Greendog.
Stephen's expressed what we all think I'm sure but it doesn't matter if we live on the road, dream about it or anything in between, this is a brilliant site for any info regarding travelling in Australia.
The experience of the contributors plus the skills of the people that run the site works together really
well.
Thank you all and I'm busting to get into the New Year,
Hoo roo,

Hi Peter
Yes indeed, I would rate this as "The Best" and there are few sites that have such a following.
I have something up my sleeve for around early May. I would like to get to about 100 kilometres to the east of where we camped. If you are interested, send my an email and I will give you the details. My email is in my profile.
All the Best for 2013
Cheers

Hi Pete
I would only take a week off. After doing my Blog about the recovery of Burke and Wills remains, I would like to get out on station tracks to
Lake Hope and try and find the
old ruins out there.
I do not know anyone else that has been out there. I have not asked Jason yet, but when I was speaking with him last, he asked when was I heading up that way again. He said that there are still many big
waterhole along the Cooper, but he said that within another couple of years, they will be all dried up.
I think it would be great to set up
camp by the
water and just take it all in again.
If you need to give me a call at home....88423662
Cheers
Stephen

I feel like I'm eaves dropping on an intimate conversation, but it's interesting.
I'm planning a trip out towards the Cooper with my Brother in Law and his Dad. They're originally from Uraguay. Everytime I show the old fella our photos he wants to go otu there, so we're planning a trip for him while he can.
It's going to be interesting seeing it through his eyes,
Steve

Hi Steve
The Cooper is great and it was even better when it crossed the
Birdsville Track. Like I said above, when I was doing research for my Blog and from other details that I have
Lake Hope east of the
Birdsville Track was one destination that is overlooked by everyone.
There are a couple of extra little things that I hope to see as
well out there and it is only a small affair trip. We are only going as far as the Cooper Crossing on the
Birdsville Track and then station track.
All the Best for 2013.
Cheers
Stephen

G'day Stephen,
I've crossed The Cooper a few times in the last couple of years and it's looking great at the moment. It's about a 20 hour drive for us to get to out near
Innamincka or
Windorah, so it's not too hard to do, it just costs money.
I'm keen to get the old bloke out thereand get him a feed of yabbies.
All the best for 2013 and thnk you for all your contributions this year. I look forward to reading your stories, opinions and advice in the future.
Hoo roo,
Steve

Hi Stephen,
Yes I have to agree with you there...a very useful site. My thanks also to David and Michelle, and Adele.
I look forward to our travels in 2013...one trip we are planning is to the West Coast and then into NT in our new 20 ft Outback Starcraft....we will be on the road for around 6 months. I am going to write my usual
Blogs of course and will be referring constantly to this site for information on road conditions and other relevant stuff, reading other peoples
blogs for ideas on things to do and
places to include, fishing spots and more.
Very impatiently waiting for the end of the school hols so we can get out and test the new van!
cheers Heather

Hi Heather
You are one such person that puts a lot of effort and time into your great
blogs and they are always a pleasure to read.
I bet the end of the school holidays will not come quick enough so you can try your new van out, I bet it is a beauty.
All the Best for 2013.
Cheers
Stephen

Gee thanks Stephen and Fred,
Yes the next trip can't come fast enough...but the NSW coast is chaotic for the next few weeks with tourists and we will wait until the madness subsides before going anywhere.
We are going to use the time to do some under van protection to plumbing, order a stone stomper and get a dash monitor in the 4WD for the van break safe system installed, as per the new NSW rules, and a few other bits and pieces too
.
cheers Heather

Definately have to agree with you there Stephen. As has been said many times, the wealth of information we have gained from the
forum has turned into personal friendships and I, for one, am forever indebted to it. My bucket list is to get "out there" a lot more in the future and hopefully put some faces to the names that write on here. All the best for 2013 and lots more
forum posts to come. Cheers,Bob.

Hi Bob
Like you, I have gained a lot from questions asked and answered by members and there is always something new to learn about.
The best part about this great site, is that like minded people with a common interest share this site and it was through email contact with one EO Member (Leigh) that I was finally after many years able to get to
Maralinga, and in turn met and travelled with 3 EO members that I had never met before and we all had a ball.
I know that 2013 will be no different and on one trip planned already, I have 2 EO Member coming along, all with a common love...our great Outback and desert travels.
Take Care and all the Best for 2013.
Cheers
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
Yes indeed many thanks are due to David and Michelle and all the EO team. They have built a remarkable site that is a daily companion and a real incentive to get out there while we are still able and explore our fascinating country.
My 2013 wish for the site is that all the contributors remain constructive, the e-gremlins stay away (for David's sake), and the wealth of useful info on here just continues to grow.
Cheers,
Val.

Hi Val
You are 100% right about a daily companion. The EO
Forum Page is
my home page and it is the first thing I do every morning, and then a number of times during the day and then quite some time every night.
And credit must also go to you and John for your fantastic Blog.
Al the Very Best to you and John for 2013.
Cheers'
Stephen
