Thinking of going to the mango farm at the
Daly River mid April for a month..we have been told there is a
creek between the bridge and the mango farm that can cause delays this time of the year..anyone had any experience with this?we are safe to about 500mm with the van but have no idea what the bottom is like.rocks, sand, mud etc.
Cheers Danny

Danny,
The bridge (crossing) is concrete but can have a fair volume of
water over it at that time of the year. Best to check with Gary Higgins (the owner) or his wife before you get up there. The fishing is great in the early run off, make sure that you take opera house pots with you for Cherebin, they are great bait (and good eating as
well).
Cheers, Neville

Don't take
young kids with you , Mango farm charges extra $10 per night for kids over and above their normal rate ,, reason given was " kids make a mess in the shower/
toilet block and use too much
toilet paper " ,, I kid you not ,,,
