Having a few days off over the Xmas break, Vik and I decided to take the Crown Prince on a short break and get away from all the festive season madness. We'd never been to the
Buchan Caves but had always wanted to visit so the choice was easy. The shopping trolley as Vik's car is known, was packed full of tents and bedding and off we went, east on the A1 to Gippsland.
What a great spot
Buchan is. The
Cave's Reserve is a fantastic spot to
camp and the facilities magnificently maintained by National Parks Victoria. I just knocked this video up all shot with the new Canon Digital SLR (thankyou Santa). A blog will no doubt follow.
Cheers Mick

Gooday Mick,
haven't been there since about 1982... it's still as beautiful as ever. Some great shots from the new toy....

Hi Mick,
that looked a bit more relaxing than your usual blogs/videos, far more relaxing.
All the best for 2013 and I look forward to your contributions in the future,

Hi Mick, looked very serene there. Which Cannon did you get? It looked like it takes excellent video in the low light. I've the 600D and even though I've had it for over 12 mths now I haven't played with the video function. Given the lack of 'noise' in your video, (no not sound), I'm very tempted to have a serious play. I remember that Pat Callahan once shot an episode of his show just using his Cannon and you couldn't tell the difference in quality.
Have a great New Years eve.

Canon EOS 7D with a Tamron 18-280 lens Dunc. Goes
well and I've not really begun to investighate all the potentials as yet. That quality was obtained despite the clips being converted by a 3rd party program for use in Windows Movie Maker and then saved to a WMV HD end product.
I must get myself a "real" editing program one day mind you while Movie Maker may be limited it's still very good and easy to use.
All the best to you and Kerry for New Year.
Mick

Have that lens also and is a nice easy lens to use, and very light.
Unfortunately I don't have the patience to use Movie Maker to it's full potential. Must sit down and learn as I'd use it with my still photos to make a video.
