Went for a fishin trip down to the mouth and as any local would know let down your tyres. At the entry point I reckon there were 3 vehicles bogged ( all vics ) and one being towed back to the main
carpark. The result was about 50 4wd's lined up to get on and off
the beach. Once on
the beach it was very easy going and the boggings could be so easily avoided.

Ha Ha Ha! It always amazes me that idiots refuse to air down on that beach. It is easy going at low tide but it can get really chopped near the
Murray Mouth end. On the East coast of the U.S.,an inspector checks your vehicle for recovery gear and makes sure you air down, before you drive on to a beach.

An elderly Victorian couple tried to drive their Commodore down
the beach at Woodgate (Qld) yesterday. They actually got about 1km until they hit a soft spot. A couple of locals towed them back to
the beach entrance and pointed out the "4WD ONLY" signs.

I don't think letting down tyres helped this bloke.

How true! Although since when has a jet ski owner had a complete frontal lobe?

I was more thinking about the low profile tyres, letting air out would not give you more footprint. Anyone with a ute that put's low profile tyres on has no brains to start with.
