Wikicamps has been recommended to me but I can't seem to get it to download on my windows8 laptop.
Do I need an apple based system to use it?
If not how do I do it?

Looks like it's an app for Iphone/Android phones. If so it won't work on Windows or probably any computer for that matter.

Hi

Assume you mean WilkiCamps Australia ?

A quick look at the website indicates it is actually an "app" for Iphones/Ipads or Android phones/tablets...so no good for a windows 8 laptop...unless the data is available in some other format e.g GPX format for viewing in some windows based gps mapping program such as OziExplorer.

Maybe someone else has more knowledge on the subject?

Cheers
Greg

Hi beaul,

I'm using wikiCAMPS on my iPhone. Other than the occasional crash, it is an excellent app that is only going to get better as users populate it with information and reviews.

Hope this helps.

I currently use "Camps Australia wide 6" which is good and also "Independant Camping" on the lap top(windows)
Is there anything else out there?

If you don't mind online guides MyParkList is a good one. It has location maps and links to Badgers parks reports. Also there is a link to Ozcamps for free camps sites.
