Hi all hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year, sitting here under a tree at Whitfield have just come out of 10 beautiful days spent on the
King River Basin.
We are hoping to go to Coburg Peninsula in July this year. has anyone done it this year and is there anything they would like to share.
Cheers
Marion

spent the first week of may there [we were the first campers for the season].The road in was not too bad with a number of small creeks to cross.
Camp in the generator
campground rather than the non generator one as it is a much more pleasant
camping area and a lot less surrounded by crocodile swamp. They have
toilets and hot [solar] showers in both campgrounds.Take a small chainsaw as there is no issue with collecting wood or having a campfire.Ensure you are carrying enough fuel for 750km minimum as there is no fuel at cobourg and it is about 320k from
jabiru. If you want more info pm me and I will give you my phone number [I am in
emerald vic.] peter
