Find A Park
Can anyone please point me to a list of WA caravan parks that sell fuel or provide me with some examples?
We want to build a case to government for allowing caravan parks in remote areas to sell fuel as a service to travellers without them having to go through the prohibitive cost of rezoning.
Thanks

Couple of remote ones that do are Mt Augustus caravan park and dryesdale river off the top of my head.
Never purchased from any of these, as I have atleast 1500kms range.
Don't know of a list though.
Maybe one of the caravan park guides from HEMA.
I have your app.

Does the Mission at
Kalumburu fit your 'selection'?
The only other
services they offer the public are a caravan park, some 'cabins', a small
shop the museum and communion on Sundays :-)
Places like
Ellenbrae used to, but were stopped by weights and measures some years ago.
Cheers,
Peter

Not exactly what you are asking for information wise, but an interesting side point.
You should talk to Jim at Cobra Station. He is in a very interesting situation....NOT!!!
All the maps I've seen and even local notice boards put up by DEC at various points of interest, say you can get fuel at Cobra Station. You can not. This leads to a possibly dangerous situation for some travellers in respect to the fact they may route plan with an idea to refuelling there. They get there with empty fuel tanks and could be then somewhat stuck.
Mount Augustus Caravan park is about 35kms down the road so they could get there on fumes I suppose.
My point being is that it is all very convenient for the authorities to advertise that he sells fuel but then don't give him permission to sell it.
Well Stupid !!!!
I can't give precise details but I thought it's an interesting problem.

I'm not sure where the
places along the Eyre Highway and the
Great Central Road fit in. Are they road houses with caravan parks or caravan parks with road houses??
