This caravan park is a pleasant surprise. Situated between Murgon to the north and The Bjelke-Petersen
Dam and wineries to the south (6 km one way and 10 km the other) it is set out across a north easterly facing hillside among shady trees with regular cooling breezes. Current management has done a great job in bringing the park up to a high standard. It's the kind of park where you arrive to spend a night and decide to stay a week.
Murgon is near by with
Goomeri and Wondai a bit further, but Kingaroy, Nanango, Kilkivan and even Gayndah are within easy distance. A day trip to the Bunya Mountains is a real possibility. For the off road enthusiast, the northern end of the Murgon Kilcoy Road is right by the front
gate. It is sealed both ends but with a good section of hilly dirt and gravel in the middle.
Plenty of history in the area, scenic country drives through
farm land or bush and of course wineries on both sides of Lake Barambah as will as fishing in its waters.
