Today we drove to Litchfield National Park coming at it from the opposite direction to the other day.

Our first stop was Bamboo Creek Tin Mine a historical, abandoned mining site. Originally established around 1906, it was worked intermittently for tin and copper until it was finally abandoned in 1955. We walked the 1km loop to view the ruins of miners' stone living quarters, old processing machinery, the mill engine, and storage tanks.

We next stopped in at Walker Creek and found a lovely little waterhole in the creek just for ourselves amongst the birds for a cooling soak.

The Cascades was our next stop and we completed the 1.7km grade 4 one way walk, at which time at the end of the walk you were more than willing to take a plunge in the pool to refresh. Not bad for a couple of oldies (this is the most difficult walk in the National Parks).

We stopped in to see Wangi Falls however didn't go for a swim here.

Tolmer Falls couldn't be passed without a look in.

At the end of the day we managed to do 20,000 steps so we are both feeling a little weary and will sleep well tonight.
