We’ve been travelling Australia full-time for the last 8 years, working our way through our third van and second car — currently rolling in a Ford
Ranger and River Dominator caravan. After almost 40 years together, we’ve mastered the art of accidental adventure: go somewhere, end up somewhere else, and pretend that was the plan all along.
We’re self-funded retirees who still keep a hand in the family company just enough to look respectable while we spend the kids’ inheritance one
campsite at a time.
With two married daughters, two energetic grandsons, and absolutely no intention of settling down, we free-
camp our way across Australia, choosing destinations the same way we choose dinner — whatever looks good at the time.
If you spot us out there, we’ll probably be parked somewhere we didn’t mean to be, enjoying it far more than we should.
