Due to an increase in audience numbers, ExplorOz has just been recognised as the No. 2 site in Australia in the very broad Automotive-Recreation category. Most of the other sites in this category are focused on specialist or "hoon" vehicles so this just shows how strong the RV and 4WD industry is in Australia today. Given that our audience represents the majority of the automotive online audience we should all be conscious of the impact we can make on keeping our roads safer and in ensuring that "four-wheel driving, camping and caravanning" is recognised positively by business, government and industry. If you are interested to know more you can see actual data supplied from Nielsen NetRatings and our site metrics on our Site Stats page.
Doing it for Life
Putting more smiles on our dials is the number of people that have taken up the newLifetime Membership option. Since this was offered in November, we've had 53 people become Lifetime members - this strong show of support is just what we need and if we can continue this way, we'll have many more years of site growth to offer you.

Competition WinnersCongratulations to Brian, Michael, and Richard who have each won ExplorOz membership (1 year) for their plot files.
The three winning plot files were forQuobba Coast (WA), Cape Arid (WA), andEildon Forests (VIC). These plot files will mean we can update these older trek publications to our new digital format offering better information and supporting waypoints. A big thanks to everyone who participated!
Our office constantly receives enquires from consumers asking for our recommendation of camping equipment, 4WD products, and service outlets. Obviously we can only refer them to our clients (Business Members) - which we do by directing them to the
Directory, where dedicated categories and text searches make it easy to find listed businesses best matching their search criteria.
Some of the less obvious categories are often the ones for which we receive the most enquiries such as outback Stations or Roadhouses selling provisions; Farm Stays or Caravan Parks, outback Tourist Attractions, and even Reference websites and other online retailers.
But there's also Specialist 4WD Service Centres, Auto Electricians/Mechanics and Tyre service centres, specialised Caravan & Motorhome retailers, and camping equipment outlets with specialised products plus a few other categories.
In addition to the enquiries we field to the Directory, our Business Members receive high targeted audience visitation and business profile pages (Google searchable) plus Keyword Links from the Forum for exact business name matches! If you own a business and offer any of these services we encourage you to sign up for a trial of Business Membership from just $60.
