19th October, 2001. In this issue: Search Phrases, Equipment Reviews, Happy Birthday to the Forum and Copyright Issues.

Dear ExplorOz.com site user,

This is about the last newsletter for the main travelling season this year, but things certainly haven't slowed down for us. We are now entering the time of year when we can buckle down and gets lots of new content on the site and run new product features to help you get ready for next year's travelling season.

Search Phrases
Quickly find a supplier by keywordA new search facility has been added to help you find a supplier by keyword. Simply go to the Resources Menu and scroll down to Business Directory where you will have 3 search options - search by Category, Region or Keyword.

The keyword search has been improved to highlight the occurrence of your keyword in green like this in all search results. Give it a go!

Equipment Reviews

8 new reports!

ExplorOz recently ran a vehicle setup feature - which we have now complemented with a totally unbiased review on how the equipment fared in the bush.

Our Equipment Reviews are based on 51 consecutive days in outback situations with only 2 days of tar driving. Massive corrugations, river crossings and extremes of temperature across 15,000km in outback WA and NT. This provided an excellent opportunity to put each item to the test so you can take our word for it.

Forum
Improved search facility - lookup multiple words in the one search.Happy Birthday to the Forum that celebrated 12mths on 29th September! In 12mths we've had 440 qns, with around 2,200 responses - that's a lot of information. So, before you think about posting a new question, consider running a search to see what's been said before. Simply enter all the words you want, separated by a space ie. fridge wiring - will show you only forum pages with both words in the data. Each occurrence of these words will be highlighted in green like this.
Copyright
Please help...We are currently cracking down on violations of our Copyright with a number of recent cases identified both within Australia and overseas. Whilst it is flattering that our content is good enough to steal, this is illegal and is not tolerated. We are seeking your support and vigilance to help us police infringements of our rights and ask that you report any breaches you might notice to us immediately. Look out for treks, photos, maps etc.
