We've lots of good news to share in this newsletter starting with the August Challenge, which was announced in our last newsletter, and now looks highly likely to be achieved any day soon! Thanks to the many new Members joining plus a strong rate of Member renewals the tally has climbed quicker than we could ever have imagined. ExplorOz releases EOTrackMe for PC users
With "EOTrackMePC" all you need to use our online tracking service is a PC with a GPS. To connect your laptop to the service you will need to download the new EOTrackMePC tracking software and register it through your Member Profile. EOTrackMePC has been added to the growing list of tracking applications in our Shop, however this application is free, with a $7.95 registration fee. Note - for "live" tracking you will need a continuous internet connection, however all data is stored on the PC and automatically transferred when an internet connection is available.
The software operates stand alone or also fully supports OziExplorer and seamlessly links the tracking functions and moving map features of OziExplorer together. NICE! To download your FREE copy or to find out more information - Click HERE.

Shop Order Processing - DELAY NOTICE
TheExplorOz Online Shop is currently conducting Stock Maintenance for the remainder of this week, and all order processing has been temporarily delayed until Monday 23/8/10. You will be personally notified if your order is affected.
This extensive stock maintenance period is due
to the relocation of all stock to a new warehouse and will result in improved delivery services for the future. As from Monday 23/8/10 all ExplorOz orders
will be dispatched from our new warehouse facility just in time to ensure your Fathers' Day gifts are delivered on time.
The shop remains open for non-urgent orders this week and you can call our office and speak with Adele on (08) 9403 3737 if
you have any concerns.
We've had a wonderful response to our call-out last newsletter for volunteers and as a result we look to have more than 10 new people willing to use a little of their spare time to assist with Forum Moderation and Place Administration. Don't forget that even if you can't help in an official capacity, there are still many valuable contributions that can be made by any traveller who uses ExplorOz.com - for example, you can enter your annecdotal comments about the condition of roads you travelled directly into the relevant section (by track name) in the Road Condition reports; if you bought a book or map from theShop you can enter a rating/comment about what you think of it; you can write a review about any place you have visited (and add photos) in Places;
and if you followed one of ourTrek Notes and have calculated your fuel usage for the trip why not share your data in ourTrek Fuel database? Contributions by travellers for travellers is exactly what ExplorOz is all about - so we urge you to use these services so the next person can benefit from your experience.
