ExplorOz Treks Update

New & Improved Page Layout

ExplorOz Trek Notes have just been converted to our new "tabbed" format. With sections that include a description (including environment and history), preparation, map, what to see, where to stay, directions, related pages, and feedback, you'll be prepared for travelling any one of 178 Treks throughout Australia.

Want to take the information with you? A printed copy will expand all tabs to print as one complete document.

New Trek Note

Hyden Norseman Road

The Hyden-Norseman Road is an excellent alternative to travelling the Great Eastern Highway if you wish to travel between Norseman & Perth because you'll get off the tar and away from the trucks. There is plenty to please the senses along this route - in fact it is a tourist route all unto itself, being marketed as "The Granite & Woodlands Discovery Trail".

Found: A Camel with No Hump

Originally published on the ExplorOz Facebook Page, this image sparked a lively discussion on an unusual looking female camel spotted in the Great Victoria Desert.

This prompted us to contact well known camel expert Chris O'Hora for an answer to the debate, read this blog for the answer.

A new camel article is coming soon to ExplorOz, to be launched in an upcoming newsletter.
