Hi ExplorOz Reader,
We hope you enjoy this week's edition of our newsletter with all the latest information about what's happening on the website.
Based upon feedback from Member Gathering organisers, our online system has been updated with a new feature.
When a member creates a Gathering they can list this as open to Members Only, or to both Members and Visitors. When listing a Gathering for Members Only, this ensures that organisers have enhanced security over who can view the details of their trip/gathering, and that they have the option to contact all attendees via the Member Messaging system.
See ExplorOz Members Trips and Gatherings.

||We've received excellent feedback from buyers of EOTopo 200K and are thrilled to hear so many of you are finding this new product worthwhile. As a key part of our perpetual upgrade process, we are keen to receive as much feedback as we can from the consumers who use the maps. In fact, so far we had a number of emails from individuals who have noted small local errors and each of these has been absorbed immediately into our database.|
To streamline our process for taking further feedback, we have setup a new inbox. If you notice errors, omissions or wish to supply any updates
please provide as much information as possible and send this as email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We would generally suggest GPX format for any road data. Please include screen
captures, or annotated images for any other error or omission reports. We
will ensure that every submission is managed and added to the product.

National Parks & Reserves on Cape York Peninsular and Cape Melville are now seasonally closed due to the wet season.
Even though conditions are dry, mosquitoes can still be active around water bodies in northern South Australia.
Mosquitoes are not only a nuisance but some can spread serious disease such as Ross River virus (RRv) and Barmah Forest virus (BFv) when they bite (symptoms of RRv and BFv can include joint pains, rash, fever, fatigue or muscle pain).
If you are a visitor, or if you live in northern South Australia, it is important that you protect yourself, your family and friends against mosquito borne disease by Fighting the Bite. For information on how to protect yourself against insects, see our Pests Article.
