Dear ExplorOz.com site user,

Over the last 2 weeks, David has been busy programming some great new features into the www.exploroz.com based on your valuable feedback. We think you'll gain lots of benefits from the changes!

FORUM IMPROVEMENTS:
Search index now has an index to help you find a discussion by keyword or date.

The burning question everyone is asking - how do I become a member?

Plus - check out the Member Rewards page (under the Home menu) www.exploroz.com/rewards to see what deals and offers our participating advertisers can offer you.

SHOP:
In stockWe now display an "in stock" icon to show whether an item is currently in stock. We aim to keep a fully supply of our best selling items, plus most items can be restocked within 1-2wks.
Auslig Raster CD update:Our most popular shop item is the highly sought-after digital maps on CD by Auslig. Unfortunately, all retailers of this product, including ExplorOz.com have had the first shipment of stock recalled due to an error. Our supplier has just given a release date of 2-3wks, being the first week of April. We are still taking orders however, and we can confirm that ExplorOz shoppers will be among the first Australia-wide to receive this product.

Michelle has also been busy finalising new content for the site.

4WD VEHICLE ROAD TESTS
We are pleased to launch a regular feature to the site called "4WD Road Tests". Written by the former assistant editor of 4WD Monthly Magazine, we feature 2 latest model 4WD vehicles and will continue adding 2 articles per month.

VEHICLE SETUP FEATURE
We are about to add 4 new product features  www.exploroz.com/feature

TREK NOTES:
All our trek notes have just undergone phase 1 of major revamps and now include mud maps to help illustrate the route. Where possible, each map has been adapted from a book or map available on ExplorOz - under each map is a link to that product in the shop.

We have also added 4 new treks and have loads more to add this month - so keep an eye out for these!

Don't forget when reading the trek notes to use the buttons to go direct to that area's Road Conditions, Shop items, Region info and Business Search Engine listings - all these features are specific to the region and make finding things on the site much easier, and relevant to your reading.

ROAD CONDITIONS:
We have returned to weekly updates of the road condition reports now that the travelling season has pretty much started (well, for some lucky people anyway).

ARE YOU A MEMBER OF A 4WD CLUB?
Have you told your club that we will promote any 4WD club for FREE? All we ask for is a link on the club's website and our promotional article to be placed in the club newsletter/magazine.

PAST NEWSLETTERS:
Did you get the last e-newsletter No. 4? If not, did you know that you can read it online, as well as all our other past newsletters? Just see the mailing list table on the left-hand side of any page and select the issue number you want to read - no downloads or slow programs, it will be rendered within your browser on ExplorOz.

FULL PAGE ADVERT
Have you seen the April edition of Overlander? Check out our full page colour ad and show it to the businesses that you go to - remember the word-of-mouth principle is the best way to get more businesses in our directory, which will mean the site will have more useful contacts and links to improve travel planning for everyone.

STAFF:
Our travelling reps Linda and Mike have just returned after 12mths on the road. Linda will be working with us for a while in the office here in Perth.

FASTER SITE:
Is anyone noticing how fast ExplorOz is running now? Even though we have over 400 sessions per day, the site is faster than ever. For those of you that are interested we've updated the internal database and changed database drivers, coupled with the new navigation system the site runs significantly faster.
