ExplorOz Newsletter - Issue 53

29th January, 2004. In this issue: 4 New Trek Notes - Border Track, Discovery Coast, Owen Springs and West Great Victoria Desert. Create Your Own Wish List and More Great Products.
Dear ExplorOz Reader,

More Trek Notes

Did you know that since December, we've added a further 4 Trek Notes to the site from all over Australia? See Border Track (Vic), Discovery Coast (Qld), Owen Springs (NT) and West Great Victoria Desert (WA).

Note - as plot and waypoint files come to hand, we are updating all trek notes to display a map using the new iMapPlot feature and in time, all treks will have the corresponding OziExplorer/GPS plot files available for download. Additional track data for places not covered by our Trek Notes are also becoming available for downloading via our new PointPlace and PlotSwap facilities.

Create your own ExplorOz Shop Wish List

Here's a simple way for you to get on with your site reading, but not miss an opportunity to flag a Shop item for a later date when you might feel more like shopping/browsing in detail.

Our new Wish List means that anytime you see a product in our Adventure Shop that interests you, you can add it to your Wish List without buying it. All items you see as you browse the shop now give you the option to either Add to the Shopping Cart OR Add to your Wish List.

Your Wish List is stored indefinitely, so you simply come back to your Wish List at any time to purchase items you've previously selected as you browse. This is not a pre-order system and there is no obligation for you to purchase. You can clear your Wish List at anytime. It's simply a way to bookmark items of interest to save you time.

Access to Wish List at Anytime - from Outside the Shop

Members - view the status of your Wish List directly from your personal Member Home Page.  Registered Visitors - view the status of your Wish List from the new button that has been added to your visitor logon bar.

Audio Books - Cassettes and CDs

Audio Books are books you listen to on either cassette tape or CD! What a great idea for travellers with lots of time behind the wheel or in the backseat.

We're sure you're going to love this incredible range that covers Australiana, Biography, Autobiography, Memoir, Classic Australian, Business, Crime, Mystery, Thriller, Suspense, General Fiction, Non-Fiction, Humour, War, Sport, Religious Fiction, Children's Fiction. There are 137 titles at the time of writing, however expect these lists to grow even further.

What's unique about these audio books is that they are narrated by Australians - no yank talk! What's also unique is that these audio books are complete unabridged versions as written word-by-word by the author, some are even narrated by the author. We have a few sound files online so you can listen to a sample of the title as read by the narrator before you buy. We've had some laughs listening to the kids books, some even have songs and music backgrounds. Personally, I can't wait for the next trip to sit back and enjoy a good story without getting carsick!
