New Trek Note

High Country - Woods Point to Porepunkah

This is the route devised by David and Michelle on their visit last year to the High Country. An excellent 3 day trip forging a great short-cut from Woods Point through to the Alpine Highway including Wonnangatta Valley. Varied challenges, historical huts, true alpine environment, wildflowers and snow gums, river crossings and more.

Forum Search Update

After the very successful performance changes (as of midnight 11/1/06) we have now completely updated the Forum Search facilities. For more information see Post 30056.

Australian's to break a world record

On February 18th, 2006, there will be an attempt to break the world record for the longest road train ever pulled by a single prime mover. The record attempt, known as the 'Hog's Breath Cafe - Mack Road Train' will take place at noon in Clifton Qld on the Clifton-Leyburn Rd. Those that want to camp in Clifton can arrange a site by phoning the Clifton Shire Council on (07) 4697 4229.

So whatever you're doing, have a good weekend!
Best regards from,

David, Michelle, Jackie
