State Forest - this is a reasonably pleasant, quiet short term
camp situated in open Ironbark forest on rocky soil. Facilities (6 benches, 3 BBQs) are spread up a gully by a seasonal
creek below a large, old
water supply reservoir. Although located on a hillside there are level grassed sites, the
heritage of eucalyptus distillery activity. Ruined brick walls remain.
Wildflowers (and birdlife) are prolific in spring.
