Information

This near new facility is a showcase for dinosaurs found in this part of Queensland and in conjunction with Lark Quarry is the southern corner of the Dinosaur Triangle.

The site contains a display area, gift and information shop and a very pleasant coffee shop. The centre is built at the summit of a Mesa or "Jump Up", a geographic feature common in the area and provides sweeping views over the flood plain grazing land to the south east of Winton. The turn off to the museum is only a short drive along the highway toward Longreach.

About 500 meters away from the main centre is a dinosaur reclamation laboratory where the fossils are prepared for display. Tours are available of both facilities.
