Underground T2 power station uses the same 120 cumecs of
water flow as Tumut 1 for its four generators. With less height (head) for the
water to fall through it has less potential energy able to be converted into electrical power. Completed in 1962 with a rated 280 megawatt output from its four generators, then upgraded in the mid '90's to 286 MW.
