The Coastal Plain Walk is a multi-day walking trail through coastal bushland north of
Perth, stretching roughly 45–52 km from
Yanchep National Park toward Neaves Road / Melaleuca Conservation
Park on the northern Swan Coastal Plain. It traverses sandy plains and open forest with
wildflowers in season and offers an extended bushwalking experience close to the city. This walk is typically completed over 2–4 days by experienced walkers carrying
water and supplies, with limited facilities and no
services along the route itself — so planning and navigation preparedness are essential. There is no single official website for the trail, but regional information and safety guidance can be found through
Yanchep National Park visitor
services and WA Parks publications. For planning, check regional
park maps and trail resources such as Parks WA,
Trails WA or local hiking & bushwalking guides.
