Located on the
Oakover River and not far from Woodie Woodie. Bitumen road to within 15 kilometres and then an easy gravel track in. Once there it is a sand bed to get close to the water hole. Best camping down to the right now that the trees are gone.
Carrawine Gorge is located within the Warrawagine Station and if you seek to access this area then please contact the station lessees on 08 9176 5900.
This site has long been a favourite camping area, with a long gorge lined by pebbles and massive river red gums. In 2004 Cyclone Faye actually ripped out and washed away all the gums. See before and after pictures above.
