The
Palm Valley campground is situated along the picturesque Palm
Creek. You will need a 4WD to access this
park. Yes you can get your offroad trailers and vans to this point no problem.
The campground is surprisingly shady, given the majority of the
park is a sandplain wilderness and local wildlife abound in this area, particularly in the late afternoon and early mornings.
Facilities include flushing
toilets, hot showers, and gas bbqs. There are a few firepits but you will need to byo firewood.
Bookings online essential via NT Parks website. You can't pay at the
park.
There are 2 short walks from the campground but you will need to travel 4km to the main area where you will see the Red Cabbage Tree Palms, which the
park is designed to protect. This is a must-do experience when visiting here. This 4km section of track requires high clearance 4wd or you can walk or ride a MTB (experienced riders - rock steps, soft sand etc). See information in Nearby
