This
rest area overlooks Gumoomo
Waterhole on Kyabra Creek. It was the existence of this permanent
waterhole that lead to the establishment of near by
Thylungra Station by Patrick "Patsy" Durack and
John Costello. The station, once the largest in the area, is located a short distance away in a side road.
The
rest area is quite large with lots of room to
camp. There are covered picnic tables but no
toilet or shower facilities.
