Junction is a remote bush
camping area located beside the Archer River in the Langi section of Oyala Thumotang National
Park (CYPAL) on
Cape York Peninsula. The
campsite occupies a sandy riverside setting surrounded by natural bushland, offering a peaceful
camping experience with opportunities for birdwatching and exploring the surrounding river country.Access is by high-clearance 4WD only, with off-road camper trailers permitted. The
camping area accommodates a maximum of 12 people and 4 vehicles, with unnumbered sites.There are no facilities or mobile phone coverage. Campers must be fully self-sufficient and bring all
drinking water, supplies and rubbish bags. Campfires and generators are permitted subject to
park conditions and fire restrictions. Saltwater crocodiles may inhabit the Archer River, so observe all crocodile safety precautions.**
Camping fees apply and bookings are compulsory prior to arrival.** Access may be restricted during the wet season.
