The Needles Walking in Gibraltar Range National Park begins at the Mulligans Campground where there is a car park (2wd accessible via Mulligans Dr off Gwydir Hwy). This walk is a grade 3 track with gentle hills. Distance 6km return allow 2-3 hours. The Needles walking track offers jaw-dropping views of granite rock formations in Gibraltar Range National Park, near Glen Innes. Part of the Gibraltar-Washpool World Heritage walk, it’s a great shorter walk option.
