The Tanami Road crosses Napperby
Creek (known as Tilmouth Crossing) at the site of the
Tilmouth Well roadhouse and campground.
The
creek is is often just a sandy rocky
creek bed - not a flowing river. The surface at the crossing is typically dry and sandy but can flood after rain, so conditions vary and the track can become impassable in wet weather (wet season) however it is rare for people to travel
the Tanami track in the wet season (late November - February).
