To reach Kalgan Pool, turn off the
Marble Bar Road here and drive on the BHP Rail Access Road. You must have a permit to drive on the BHP Rail Access Road but this is easily obtainable and free. Get it online, or go into the
Newman Visitors Centre. This is also the best access to head north to the
Hickman Crater, which is
well worth a visit.
