camping area is a dry grassy
camping area with lemon scented gums dominating the surrounds. Accessible by high clearance 4wd, trail bike, bicycle, walking.
There are no facilities other than picnic tables. Open area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 5 people per
camp. Tent camping beside your vehicle.
Open fires prohibited. Fuel stoves are recommended to minimise impacts.
Generators not allowed. Mobile phone coverage is poor; satellite phones, UHF radios and EPIRBs recommended.
Bring all food and drinking water, sturdy rubbish bags, insect repellent, sun protection, remote-area first-aid kit, reliable torch, and communications equipment.
Located on the eastern side of the four-wheel-drive loop road accessed from Bulburin Forest Road at the top of the range—21km from Builyan and 38km from the Bruce Highway via the
Granite Creek access.
The road is unsealed and can be reached via Builyan in a four-wheel-drive vehicle in dry weather only. Access from the Bruce Highway on the
Granite Creek Forestry Road is possible for four-wheel-drive vehicles only in dry weather. It is not accessible for vehicles towing on-road trailers, caravans or for motor homes.
