The Oyster Stacks are five isolated islets that protrude from the reef. A great place to
snorkel but can only be accessed at high tide as the reef itself is only 300m from the shore. Check tide charts and plan your swim when there is a minimum 1.2m high tide to ensure sufficient
water over the reef. For your convenience there is a tide chart on a
sign at the road entrance but you can also get a flyer from the
Visitor Information centre or look online. Oyster Stacks can experience strong currents and large swell, always assess the conditions before entering the
water. Remember that Oyster Stacks is in
a sanctuary zone in
Ningaloo Marine
Park, please look but don't touch.
No dogs allowed. To enter the
water the shoreline is rocky with sharp edges so consider wearing booties.
This site lies within the
Cape Range National Park and vehicle entry fee is required. There are no
toilets at this location.
