A beautiful tail through the
Kalamina gorge, this walk includes a
swimming Hole to enjoy a refreshing dip in.Class 4 3 kilometres - allow 3 hours return This trail is moderately difficult, over a range of surfaces and requires a good level of fitness. There are uneven steps into
the gorge and then natural obstacles including rocks, gravel and shallow pools.
At the bottom of the steps, turn right and view a small waterfall and
rock pool, or turn left and walk along
the gorge bottom to the
sign at the end of the trail. Retrace your steps back to the car
park. Lemon scented grass fringes the rims of temporary streams. Take a closer look and you may see small fish in the
rock pools.
