Information
Beltanta is a former mining town which is now a semi ghost town, which refuses to die. It was cut off when the Old Ghan railway was closed and moved and the main road was re-aligned, but there are still some local residents who love the place enough to keep the history and the town alive. The road from here leads into the beautiful and privately owned Wilderness Sanctuary of Warraweena and it's wonderful and adventurous 4wd treks.
