Brighton Council low cost overnight
rest area for up to 7 self-contained rigs of all types, beside the
Recreation Reserve, just off
Brighton Road. See photo for location.
Parking is available for up to 48 hours at the Pontville RV Park. The fee can be paid at the
Brighton IGA.
No tents. Must contain your
grey water. A council bin is provided, a
dump point, potable water, covered seating.
Public toilets are under the footy club near
Brighton Road. Water available from a tap in the NE corner.
This is the site for the
Brighton Show (12-Nov-23) so it might get busy then. Area is still under development, including show facilities for dogs and horses. Equestrian arena available. Dog area (not yet fully enclosed).
Meals available at the Football Club.
Within the area are a number of attractions including accessibility to the Shene Distillery, Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, the historic township of
Richmond, the Coal River Valley vineyards and
New Norfolk in the Derwent Valley.
