Information

Burke and Wills camped here on 6/1/1861. They had only traveled a short distance from camp 85, following the King Creek. However the creek started to vere to the East and Wills was wanting to head due north. Little did he know thatKing River actually headed north and they camped on it again with camp 87. It was was extremely hot during the day and Burke decided that it might be best for all to rest and make a big push forward the next day. They left camp at 4am the next day.
