Marakoopa
Cave is a
limestone cave in
Mole Creek Karst National Park, and is just one of over 300 known caves and sinkholes in the area.
Marakoopa
Cave is one of just two caves in the area open to tourists and features two underground streams, a large display of glow-worms, large caverns, rim pools, reflections and shawl and flowstone features. Visitors have the option of two 45 minute guided tours of the
Cave taking place several times a day, every day except Christmas Day. Bookings are not required for individuals but are necessary for groups of 10 and over.
Tickets are also available from the centralised ticket office at 330 Mayberry Rd, which is located about 600 metres prior to
the entrance to Marakoopa
Cave (
Mole Creek). This office does accept cash, along with eftpos, visa card, master card or bankcard. If visiting both King Solomons and the Marakoopa Caves, you should allow 15 minutes to travel the 11 km between them.
