The hub of Outback Pioneers’ tourism operations is The Welcome Home. The Kinnon family have restored the original Welcome Home Hotel in the
heritage heart of town. It is now a booking office, accommodation reception, dining and tea room.
When you come to
Longreach, start here for warm hospitality, good food and entry to another world. Check in for The Staging Post accommodation, pick up your tickets and become an outback pioneer! The 1920s building is at 128 Eagle Street.
Booking Office Open:
April – October: Monday to Sunday 8am – 6pm
November – March: Monday to Sunday 9am – 5pm
The Welcome Home Restaurant opening hours:
Monday to Saturday 6.30am – 9am, Tuesday to Saturday 6pm – 9pm (April–October). Bookings essential.
The Staging Post Reception check-in:
7 days, 3pm – 6pm. (Contact us ahead of time for after-hours check-in).
